1. Who We Are

Remind AI is a personal productivity application for iOS. This Privacy Policy explains what information we handle when you use the app, how it is used, and your rights regarding that information. By using the Service, you agree to this policy.

We collect the minimum amount of data necessary to operate the Service. Here is a plain-language breakdown:

The data described above is used only for the following purposes:

• AI parsing — to convert your natural language input into a structured reminder;
• Rate limiting — to enforce fair usage limits per subscription tier and prevent abuse of the AI endpoint;
• Subscription enforcement — to determine which features and limits apply to your account.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the Service.

4. iCloud and CloudKit Storage

All of your reminders, contacts, and private notes are stored exclusively in your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit private database. This means:

• Your data is stored on Apple's iCloud infrastructure, not on any server we operate;
• We have no access to your reminders, contacts, or private notes — ever;
• Your data is protected by Apple's iCloud encryption and your device's security;
• Your data syncs across your Apple devices automatically if you have iCloud enabled;
• If you delete the app or sign out of iCloud, your data follows your iCloud account — not the app.

Because your data is stored in your iCloud account, we cannot recover it if it is deleted. We have no access to it and no backup of it.

5. AI Processing

When you submit a reminder through the Chat tab, the text of your input is sent through a secure Cloudflare Worker proxy to Anthropic's Claude Haiku API for natural language parsing. The following applies:

• Only the text of your reminder input is transmitted — no other personal data is included in the request;
• Requests are authenticated using App Attest and a short-lived JWT token to prevent unauthorized access;
• We do not store the content of your chat inputs on any server after processing;
• Anthropic may process and store request data in accordance with their own Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review it.

Avoid entering highly sensitive personal information (e.g., passwords, financial account numbers, medical diagnoses) through the chat interface.

6. Voice Input

Voice transcription in the Chat tab is performed entirely on your device using Apple's on-device speech recognition framework (AVFoundation / Speech framework). No audio is ever recorded, transmitted, or processed by us or any third party. The transcript appears in the text input field, where you can review it before submitting.

7. Notifications

Remind AI uses iOS push notifications to deliver your scheduled reminders. Notification scheduling and delivery are handled by iOS on your device. We do not use a push notification server — reminders are scheduled locally on your device and fire without any server involvement.

8. Third-Party Services

The following third-party services are involved in the operation of Remind AI:

• Apple iCloud / CloudKit — data storage. Governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
• Apple App Store — subscription billing. Governed by Apple's terms.
• Anthropic (Claude Haiku) — AI parsing of chat input. Governed by Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
• Cloudflare Workers — secure proxy for AI requests. Governed by Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

9. Data We Do Not Collect

To be explicit, Remind AI does not collect or have access to:

• Your name, email address, or Apple ID;
• Your phone number or any contact information;
• The content of your reminders, contacts, or private notes (these stay in your iCloud);
• Your location;
• Your device's camera or microphone recordings (audio never leaves your device);
• Your browsing history or activity outside the app;
• Any data from your iPhone Contacts (if you import contacts, only names are stored in your iCloud — no phone numbers or email addresses are accessed or stored by us).

10. Data Retention and Deletion

Because your personal data lives in your own iCloud account, you are in full control of it:

• To delete your data: Delete the app from your device. All data stored in the app's CloudKit private container will be deleted from your iCloud.
• Rate-limiting data: Anonymous per-device request counters stored in our Cloudflare KV store are automatically expired after a short rolling window.
• Subscription data: Receipt confirmations are used only to validate your current subscription status and are not retained beyond what is necessary for this purpose.

11. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used the Service, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will provide notice through the app or App Store update notes. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
